Indirectly related to Land Unlost; as part of a map-drawing side-experiment I’ve been tinkering with getting an old ink plotter running, and I’ve put together a Raspberry-Pi computer to interface with it.
For that computer I’ve been using and really like this touch-screen (I just plug it into a Raspberry Pi and the monitor works, touch works, no setup needed, looks good, etc.)
However the documentation was a bit thin and didn’t include information for connecting speakers. For anyone else who wants to hook-up some speakers to this display, here’s the info, plus (paid) links to products I used and so know they work:
Connector to use: JST 2.0mm PH 4-pin female
Suitable Speakers: 8-Ohm 3-Watt (3-Ohm would also be suitable)
Wiring:
Circuit-board audio pins from left to right (when board is oriented to read the SunFounder label):
- Right Speaker, Negative wire
- Right Speaker, Positive wire
- Left Speaker, Positive wire
- Left Speaker, Negative wire
The Raspberry-Pi tool I’m making may only be peripherally and experimentally related to developing the game (it might bear fruit, it might not) but I thought the wiring info ought to be online somewhere for anyone else who needs it, so I’ve left it here. I like the idea of this feed including a bit of a grab-bag of different but (sometimes distantly) related subjects.
